Dealing with L o n e l i n e s s

I was going to write this on another blog of mine, but the connection to that blog was very slow. So, I decided to write it here.
I just finished watching to movies (DVDs). The main theme of the stories is around loneliness. Yes, during my life in North America I can feel that loneliness is one big problem. I just don't understand it (but can feel it). Men and women (although I think, mostly women) feel that they are lonely. They do.
Yes, you have "friends" but they are not friends that can "cure" loneliness. I think friendship and family can cure it. But, maybe it is difficult to find genuine friends (that you can share your heart and not laugh at it) and loving family. They are not bad people, they are just ... "not there" (for the lack of words to describe it).
One thing that keep me alive is friendship and family and I do value them highly. I wouldn't mess around with friendship. I would do anything to help a friend. That is why when I was in North America my loneliness was far less that those of local people, because I was (and am) a good friend. You have to find your friends. I wish I could cure your lonelines.
